Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

1. Introduction

Wazefeh ("Wazefeh", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Wazefeh recruitment platform, available through our website and mobile applications (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over it.

This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Service: visitors, registered job seekers, and employers. It should be read together with our Terms of Use. By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy.

2. Who We Are

Wazefeh is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this Policy. Our services are operated for the Jordanian labour market and are subject to the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

For any question, request, or complaint relating to your personal data, contact us at admin@wazefeh.com or through the contact form on our website.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Job seeker information

When you register as a job seeker and build your profile, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:

  • Identity details: first, middle, and last name, father's name, date of birth, gender, marital status, nationality, and national identity card number.
  • Contact details: email address, phone and mobile numbers, street address, and your country, governorate, and city.
  • Location coordinates: if you use the nearby-jobs feature, your device may provide approximate coordinates so we can match you with jobs close to you. These coordinates are used only for that search and are not stored against your profile.
  • Professional profile: current job title, years of experience, career level, industry, functional area, current and expected salary, availability, and cover letter.
  • CV content: education history, work experience, skills, languages, projects, professional summaries, custom sections you create, and any CV files you upload or generate through our CV builder.
  • Media: profile photo, cover image, and any video introduction link you add.
  • Application activity: the jobs you apply to, saved jobs and companies, answers to employer screening questions, and messages you exchange with employers.

3.2 Employer information

When you register a company account, we collect:

  • Company details: company name, description, industry, ownership type, year established, number of employees and offices, website, and social media links.
  • Contact details: company email, phone, fax, contact person name and email, and the name of the legal representative.
  • Location: address, country, governorate, city, and map coordinates you select when placing your company on the map.
  • Registration and verification data: commercial registration number, identity number, and any verification documents you submit, such as a certificate of incorporation or formation, a valid tax clearance, proof of address, and other supporting documents.
  • Recruitment activity: job postings, applicant shortlists, unlocked candidate profiles, and messages you exchange with candidates.

3.3 Account and security data

We store your password in hashed form (we never store it in plain text), along with email and phone verification codes, password reset codes, two-factor authentication secrets and recovery codes, API tokens issued to our mobile applications, session records, and the date on which you gave your privacy consent.

3.4 Usage, device, and technical data

When you use the Service we automatically receive technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, the pages you view, the actions you take, the date and time of your visit, and the site that referred you. If you use our mobile application and enable notifications, we also store your push notification token, device identifier, and platform.

3.5 Payment and subscription data

We record the plan or package you hold, its start and end dates, your remaining quotas, order and invoice records, payment method, and transaction status. If you pay by card or through an online payment provider, your card details are entered directly with that provider and are never stored on our systems. If you subscribe through one of our field sales representatives, we record the payment method (cash or card) and the reference for that transaction.

3.6 Communications and user-generated content

We keep the messages you send through the Service, enquiries submitted through our contact form, abuse reports, company reviews and ratings, testimonials, and any feedback you send us.

3.7 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference and display direction, protect against fraud and abuse, and understand how the Service is used. See section 10 for details.

4. How We Collect Your Information

  • Directly from you, when you register, complete your profile, upload a CV, post a job, apply to a job, contact us, or make a payment.
  • Automatically, through cookies, server logs, and analytics as you browse the Service.
  • From third parties, when you choose to sign in with Google, in which case Google shares your name and email address with us so we can create or link your account. We do not receive your Google password.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account, authenticate you, and keep your session secure.
  • To publish your profile or job postings and to operate the matching between candidates and vacancies.
  • To let you apply to jobs and to transmit your application and CV to the employer concerned.
  • To let employers search for candidates and view profiles, subject to the visibility rules in section 6.
  • To send you service messages: verification codes, application updates, job alerts, subscription and payment notices, and responses to your enquiries.
  • To process subscriptions, payments, invoices, and quotas.
  • To verify employer accounts and to review submitted documents, so that job seekers deal with genuine companies.
  • To operate the optional AI features described in section 7.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, spam, scraping, and other abuse, and to enforce our Terms of Use.
  • To measure and improve the Service through aggregated analytics and product research.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.

We process this data on the basis of your consent, the performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service, and our legal obligations.

6. Visibility of Your Profile

Wazefeh is a recruitment platform, so some of your data is designed to be seen by others:

  • When you apply for a job, the employer who posted it receives your profile, your CV, and your answers to their screening questions.
  • Employers with an active CV-search subscription can search candidate profiles and may unlock and view your full profile and contact details. Unlocking is recorded and counts against the employer's quota.
  • Your public profile fields — such as job title, experience, skills, and general location — may appear in candidate search results.
  • Your national identity card number, exact street address, and account security data are never shown to employers.
  • Company profiles, job postings, and company reviews are public and may be indexed by search engines.

Once an employer has received your application or unlocked your profile, they hold that copy of your data as an independent controller and must handle it in line with applicable law and our Terms of Use. Deleting your Wazefeh account does not automatically erase copies already downloaded by employers.

7. Artificial Intelligence Features

The Service offers optional AI-assisted features, currently CV import and parsing, and CV content enhancement. When you use one of these features, the relevant content — for example the CV file you upload or the section text you ask us to improve — is sent to a third-party AI provider that processes it on our behalf and returns a structured or improved result.

These features run only when you actively trigger them. We do not send your profile to AI providers in the background, and we instruct our providers not to use your content to train their models. If you prefer not to use AI processing, simply do not use these features; all CV fields can be filled in manually.

8. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • With employers, as described in section 6.
  • With service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, including our hosting and infrastructure providers, email delivery services, payment processors, analytics providers, AI providers, mapping services, and push notification services.
  • With our field sales representatives, limited to the account and subscription details needed to complete a sale you have requested.
  • For legal reasons, where disclosure is required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a competent authority, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, the safety of users, or the integrity of the Service.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you and the receiving party will remain bound by this Policy.

9. Third-Party Services We Use

The Service relies on the following third-party services, each of which may process limited personal or technical data:

  • Google Sign-In, for optional social login.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, to protect our forms from automated abuse.
  • Google Maps, to display and select company locations on a map.
  • Google Analytics and our self-hosted analytics platform, to measure usage of the Service.
  • Payment providers, including online card and wallet processors, for subscription payments.
  • Email delivery providers, to send verification codes, alerts, and notifications.
  • AI providers, for the optional features described in section 7.

These providers operate under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them if you would like more detail on their practices.

10. Cookies

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary: session cookies that keep you signed in, and security tokens that protect forms against cross-site request forgery. The Service cannot function without them.
  • Preference: cookies that remember your chosen language and the corresponding text direction.
  • Analytics: cookies and identifiers that help us understand which pages are visited and how the Service performs, in aggregate.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Service.

11. International Transfers

Our servers and some of our service providers may be located outside Jordan. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected by appropriate contractual and technical safeguards consistent with this Policy.

12. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as necessary to provide the Service. After that:

  • Profile and CV data is deleted or anonymised when you delete your account, subject to the exceptions below.
  • Records of applications already sent to employers remain with those employers.
  • Payment, invoice, and subscription records are retained for the period required by accounting and tax law.
  • Security and access logs are retained for a limited period for fraud prevention and incident investigation.

13. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed password storage, optional two-factor authentication, access controls limiting staff access to what their role requires, isolated infrastructure per environment, and regular backups. Employer verification documents are stored in restricted locations and are visible only to authorised reviewers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for notifying us promptly at admin@wazefeh.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

14. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access and correction: you can view and edit most of your data at any time from your profile and account settings.
  • Data export: you can request a copy of your personal data from the Privacy & Data Settings page in your dashboard, and we will prepare a downloadable file.
  • Deletion: you can request deletion of your account from your account settings. We will process the request and remove or anonymise your data, except where we are legally required to keep certain records.
  • Withdraw consent: you can withdraw a consent you previously gave; this does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
  • Communication preferences: you can manage job alerts, email notifications, and push notifications from your notification preferences, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time. We will still send essential service messages such as security and verification notices.
  • Complaint: you can raise a concern with us at admin@wazefeh.com, and you may also refer the matter to the competent authority in Jordan.

We respond to requests within a reasonable period and may ask you to verify your identity before acting on them.

15. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete it and close the associated account.

16. Links to Other Sites

The Service may contain links to employer websites and other third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will publish the updated Policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.

18. Contact Us

If you have any question about this Privacy Policy or about how we handle your personal data, please contact us:
